Postponements, Social Distancing, and Some Good News

This has been a crazy time for all of us with everything being closed down or restricted, social distancing, and all that jazz. It's affected people in both expected and unexpected ways.

Here in Denver, we're on stay at home orders until April 10.

Outside of these orders, it's affected me in different ways too. For instance, my upcoming showcase with RAW Artists has been postponed. It's now scheduled for June 2 same place and time, The Church Nightclub at 7 PM.

I figured it was coming with social distancing anyways, but seeing life as we know it shut down has been the hardest part. Worrying about friends and family, not only for their health but also for their financial situations.

But, at the end of the day, life goes on and we have to roll with the punches and make the most out of every situation.

That's why I'm using this time to foster collaborations and dedicate more time to my artwork, writing, and entrepreneurial pursuits.

One thing I'm super excited about is my collaboration with Lollipop Stock, a photo and graphic stock website for brands that want to show off their energetic, colorful personalities. I created 4 unicorn-themed Lightroom presets that have just been released. The best part is that this will be an ongoing creative collaboration!

They're available on Lollipop Stock now, but this partnership made me decide to sell my presets too. I've been using my own presets for a couple of years now, but I never thought to share them until I was approached about this opportunity.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, I've decided to give this Unicorn set away for free once you subscribe to my website.

I will be adding more presets regularly, either twice a month or once a month, I haven't decided yet along with more tutorials and behind-the-scenes stuff of my works in progress.

So what am I working on right now?

Obviously, getting my showcase all ready to go for June, and I'm also working on more portrait photography and videography.

I already started with some short videos, and just last week I did an awesome photoshoot with my husband up in the mountains. Check out my favorite photos here.

Most importantly, though, I'm doing my best to get through this crazy time just like everyone else, but one thing is for sure: creativity has always helped me stay positive during tough times (and lots of movies).

What have you been doing to deal with #selfisolation?
